The Add-in provides access to a database of Swiss court decisions and statutes directly within Microsoft Word. Users can search decisions and statute articles and insert formatted citations. With a Pro subscription, users can additionally look up related decisions in the citation graph, verify references and find supporting decisions using AI-assisted analysis, enrich a paragraph with leading cases, check every citation in a document, and obtain a literary reflection on a draft.
The Verify, Ground and Mirror features use artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to analyze text you submit. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Results of all Pro features are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional legal judgment. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information before relying on it in legal proceedings or advice.
Redaction of personal data. Before any Pro request is sent, the Add-in replaces certain categories of personal data in the submitted text with placeholders: e-mail addresses, Swiss AHV/AVS numbers, Swiss IBANs, Swiss company identification numbers (CHE), Swiss phone numbers, dates of birth introduced by a birth formula, street addresses, postal codes with place names, and personal names preceded by a title. This step is pattern-based and best-effort. It does not detect all personal data; in particular, names without a preceding title, dates without a birth formula and non-Swiss identifiers are transmitted as written. Its scope and limits are described in the Privacy Policy. We give no warranty that any particular personal data will be removed. You are responsible for assessing whether a document may be processed with the Pro features under your professional-secrecy and data-protection obligations, and for anonymising it beforehand where those obligations require it.

The Add-in and its associated services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time without prior notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenCaseLaw and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Add-in, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated results or the transmission of personal data that the redaction step did not detect.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; your Pro access will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Add-in after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
